Chilopod

A sentient creation for Burning Man 2018 and 2022

Chilopod is a project built through Arts Organization Embrio LLC which is now Embrio Arts under One Future Arts.

Lead artist Lawrence Grown with an extensive team of project managers, builders, and Burning Man arts enthusiasts.

Millions of years ago trillions of Chilopod seeds were launched from a distressed planet across the galaxy in hopes of reaching civilizations like ours in time to make a difference. Their home planet was experiencing ecosystem collapse and while the inhabitants couldn’t withstand space travel, Chilopod seeds were engineered to do so. Chilopod grew in the Black Rock Desert and has now relocated to Cosmic Honey in Lake County. Through interactive play, Chilopod imbues visitors with inspiration to change the world into a more sustainable culture.
